Physical data storage remains essential for individuals requiring instant access to extensive data files. In cases of substantial workloads, cloud storage may prove less accessible, especially in regions with limited network speeds.
During an in-depth design exploration, I delved into various styles, from minimal forms to pushing the boundaries with contemporary aesthetics. Through this process, I landed on Flume’s current design which exudes simplicity and confidence. Working at a 1:1 scale enabled me to carefully consider the form, details and most importantly create a conceptual DFMA approach.
